Well done! The shodow of the tree seems to be closing in on it's waiting victim. A color version would have been a distraction to this image... well done!
She did, there were angles and poses she was getting herself into that just looked PAINFUL - add that to a wideangle lens and you're gonna get some freaky shit
Glad you liked it kiddo
sehr schön werk! (very beautiful piece)
i love it!
man, how do you do it!?
where do you come up with these compositions? are you just like, sitting on the john and then all of a sudden-::le gasp::-idea!--? lol

No actually - we'd wrapped up shooting and were driving home and I happened to spy these two couches on a side street and slammed on the brakes. 5 mins later she had changed into the dress and shoes and was draping herself fabulously across the larger of the two and I just moved around her until I got the angle and framing that I wanted and kept snapping away. This was definately one of my favourites from that shoot, which is great since it was such a spur of the moment thing, and those shots are usually the best I find
Glad you liked it!
I couldn't agree more - I loved the colour version but the more I looked at it I couldn't put my finger on what wasn't working, and it was the colour itself!
So yes once I desaturated it it just fell into place
And yes, I LOVE that shadow - nothing like bright sunny afternoons for that sort of menacing black
Such a great compo, nicely lit, well posed, you really worked this idea to achieve a top result. No critique to be had - it's the kind of shot and location I wish I had found.
