From the series Catch 22, number XV of the Major Arcana - The Devil.

The final shot I used for the series, Diabolus being the alternative.
[which you can see here with a brief run down of the series and the idea behind this shot]

Wow, interesting (freaky...) shot ;p Great tones, really nice composition and perspective. The dark contrasts and the bright warm glow gives the photo a very un-natural, surreal feel. Great job :)

Superb superb... this is really nice.. the way u compsed everything.. its great.. lightings are good.. great tones.. ;)

This is a very creepy picture. The setting, the atmosphere is all warm and comforting... Then you really look at the little girl, take in her expression and the Barbie in her lap. And everything just goes terribly wrong then.

I hope you got a good grade on this project; this card, at least, is excellent.

Yea, though I walk through Fanfiction.Net, I will fear no stupidity, for my Back button is with me.

I gaze into the moon
Which makes my mind pure as crystal lakes.
My eyes cold as the darkest winter nights,
But yet there is a flame inside.
It guides me into the dark shadows beyond this world,
Into the infinity of thoughts.

i can't believe you decided to do a project of that magnitude. lol! wow! that is something that i would do *nod* however, this shot is pretty awesome. a great capture all in all. you didn't just catch the image, but the emotion and meaning too. my hero!
:icongootchy:
The light coming in through the windows and the light reflecting on the wood is just perfect. Nice work!
:icondalaiharma:
Awwww hero worship :worship:
Yay!

I know, I had to take a year off from doing ANYTHING to recover! And the sad fact is that I am SO not happy with the majority of the work I shot.
Ah well, can always be redone. Scratch that, WILL be redone!
Later.

I wanted to maintain the divinatory nature and symbolic imagery of each card but with a twist to put a modern spin on it, so I'm glad you liked what I came up with [especially since the Devil is one of the more famous cards of the deck and there was massive pressure to get it right!!]
So thankyou for the glowing praise!

I'm glad, it was a tough shoot for an impossible project so its nice to know it wasn't all in vain. Thanks! :D
